PayoutHub uses the fee schedules each provider publishes publicly. We expose the two costs that matter most: transaction fee and FX markup.
Four ways people move money across borders.
USD 12,800 payout from Amazon.com → Indian bank account
- Payoneer gives direct ACH from Amazon KDP/US marketplace.
- Wise converts at mid-market; use it to sweep USD → INR locally.
- PayPal applies 3.49% + $0.49 plus a 3% FX spread — expensive here.
GBP 8,400 monthly DTC card revenue → USD supplier
- Shopify Payments defaults to PayPal Express in many regions.
- Wise Business gives a GBP receiving account for local settlement.
- Switching the final conversion step to Wise saves ~1.8% on FX.
EUR 5,200 client invoice (Upwork / Stripe) → withdraw to EUR bank
- Stripe → Wise Business: 0.5% ACH + same-mid-market-convert.
- Upwork → Payoneer: ~2% withdrawal plus FX spread.
- Upwork → PayPal: 3.49% + $0.49; only pick for consumer clients.
CNY 18,500 supplier payment, Shanghai factory, container freight
- Wise Business transfers CNY via UnionPay-like rails — fast, transparent.
- PayPal cross-border: 4.99% + CNY FX spread; avoid for commercial invoices.
- Payoneer mass payout for multi-supplier batches — volume pricing negotiable.

Where do the fees shown come from?+
PayPal's international goods schedule (3.49% + $0.49), Wise's published variable fee (≈0.65% on major routes) and Payoneer's marketplace withdrawal tier (≈1.5% + 1% FX). Your tier may differ — treat these numbers as reference.
Which exchange rate are you using?+
The live mid-market rate pulled from open.er-api.com and refreshed hourly. PayPal and Payoneer apply a spread on top of this rate in their conversion step — we show this spread as FX markup.
Should I pick one provider or run multiple?+
Most operators run two in parallel. One for checkout / branded experience (PayPal), one for converting balances locally (Wise), and if you sell on marketplaces, Payoneer for intake. Pick the cheapest route per corridor, not per provider.
Is there a setup fee?+
No account is required to use PayoutHub's calculators. Wise and Payoneer accounts are free to open; PayPal has no setup fee but charges per transaction.
Are these numbers tax-accurate for my country?+
No. These figures show gross, fees and net — they don't include local VAT, GST, withholding tax or income tax. Consult an accountant for tax modelling.
